 Why should we not drink milk?

We have been told since our childhood that a glass of milk is a complete food and it has all the nutrients like Protein, Calcium, Vitamin D, vitamins A, and many other nutrients.

What’s wrong with the animals?
Animals nowadays are injected with hormones for artificial milk production and antibiotics, They are given pesticides laden cattle feed. This impact their milk quality. They do not graze in open and live in a stressful environment.

Amongst all the living beings we are the only one which drink milk from other beings. All the children of mammals stop drinking milk after a certain age/stage however we human beings drink milk for a very very long period. Rather milk is a part of our diet for the whole of our life. The milk of every mother is according to the needs of her child. Every living being is distinctively made and has need nutrition according to their body composition and growth needs. That is why the question is raised with regard to the suitability and safety of milk of other species.

The protein content of cow’s milk is more than three times the protein contained in human milk. Thus, this is quite more than our body is designed to handle. The human body has a definite process related to metabolism. The food and diet in excess of the body’s needs or capacity create chaos in various systems of the body and thus disturb the equilibrium. It can be seen that in the current scenario more ailments are caused by overeating, wrong food combination, and insufficient absorption of nutrients by the body.

The milk which our previous generations have been taking, getting benefits therefrom and which led to good health for them is currently not the same. Animals nowadays are injected with hormones for artificial milk production by them, and given antibiotics, and given pesticides laden cattle feed. The growth hormones and steroids which are given to cows, impact their milk quality. They do not graze in open; cows are living in an unhealthy and the milk secreted by them is in a stressful environment.

Studies have revealed that milk alters the acid-alkali balance in the human body. It increases inflammation in the body, thus paving way for diseases that are a product of acid formation and inflammation in the body. As per studies, joint problems of many people are attributable to inflammation. Excess mucous formation in the body is also caused by milk in many people. The process of pasteurization of milk also creates digestive problems for many. The enzymes and nutrients contained in milk are destroyed as a result of pasteurization.

The milk which our previous generations have been taking, is currently not the same.
Studies have revealed that milk alters the acid-alkali balance in the human body.

Milk interferes with the normal functioning of the intestine.

The saturated fat content in milk is also a cause of worry. It is well known that saturated fat along with a poor lifestyle is causing cardiovascular problems and also giving rise to type 2 diseases. Many cases of cancer are also linked to the consumption of milk.

There are different views on the drinking of milk by human beings. The studies and research have suggested many reasons for not drinking cow’s milk by human beings including the following:

  • Cow’s milk is not designed to be consumed by human beings;
  • Lactose in cow’s milk is difficult to be digested; it can cause diarrhea, indigestion, bloating, and upsets the stomach;
  • It can disturb metabolism;
  • Milk of a mother is designed by nature for its children only;
  • It causes inflammation;
  • It forms mucous;
  • It can supply excess calcium, which kidneys have to eliminate from the body and therefore kidneys have to overwork;
  • Excess calcium can also cause stone formation in kidneys;
  • In many people, it can cause acidity;
  • It may contain hormones used for bovine growth; toxins and antibiotics;
  • It interferes with the normal functioning of the intestine;
  • Cows have injected hormones for milk production;
  • Milk and its products contain cholesterol;
  • A high intake of it can clog the arteries;
  • milk also contains animal protein which is acidic in nature and can leech calcium from bones
  • Some studies have suggested that dairy products are also linked to more risk of prostate cancer and acne problem.
